The International and Interdisciplinary Cultural Heritage Congresseshave been held since 2016 as an initiative of the SouthernResearch Nucleus NUDISUR. This network of researchers fromthe Global South understands cultural heritage as an importantopportunity to decolonise our discourses of the past from a critiquebased on the territorial realities of the southern hemisphere,including communities from below as key actors to project a pluralistic,solidarity-based and highly collaborative future. Previouslythe congress was organised in Chile, Mexico and Brazil, and itsfourth version, focusing on “Industrial Heritage, Social Issues andChallenges for New Governance,” will be held in collaborationwith TICCIH International.
